These small-scale models were made when exploring what could be done using aluminium sourced from drink cans.
The little aircraft is based on the Fokker Dr 1 fighter plane of World War 1 used by the German air ace Manfred von Richthofen, 'The Red Baron'. The steamship and the train engine however, are generic shapes popularised by tinplate toys of the thirties and forties.
