The beautifully drawn water-coloured plans and elevations of this Dunedin villa by an unknown architect inspired the model seen here on the piano. The drawing had been bought some years ago in an antique shop when the owners were holidaying there, and only recently was the scaled down version made.
This example of the popular Victorian style has four bedrooms, a kitchen, scullery, library, sitting room, dining room and seven fire places to ward off the cold of the southern winters! The exact location of this villa is unknown, but it is one of many classics that make the city of Dunedin such an architectural feast.
