Like so many Wellington houses perched on a steep hill section, this one in Mount Victoria enjoys the afternoon sun and amazing panoramic views of the city. A simple structure that makes the best of the slope by building the lower storey into the hill, this house has a striking facade with its series of decks and white-painted wooden railings.
The model was made as a wedding present for the owners to remind them of their first house together should they move elsewhere later.
On this occasion, the estate agent's photograph and some plans for renovation were the only information available from which to make the model house.
