Scaled Down

Designed by London based architect, Ben Pentreath, this house, shortly to be built in Christchurch will be a substantial family home that will look at ease with many of the older colonial style houses in the area.

Taking its aesthetic from English Georgian buildings with their rigid symmetry in building mass and placement of doors and windows, it is also reminiscent of the designs of Cecil Wood and Heathcote Helmore who played a key role in establishing a Christchurch architectural identity in the early 20th century.

Building is planned to be under way later this year.
